The annual food and clothing drive will be held from September 26th through November 18th. Donation boxes will be placed in the main office and academies to receive your nonperishable food and gently worn items. All proceeds will benefit the needy families of Heights High. Join the Christian Student Union and Peer Assistance & Leadership Students in their efforts to render service; together we can make a difference.
We are also accepting $10 gift cards from local grocery stores to be given with each box so that families can purchase their turkey or ham for their Thanksgiving meal.
Teachers if you'd like a donation box, please feel free to request one from Ms. Harlan in A153.
If you would like to help prepare the boxes, come Friday Nov. 18th to Ms. Harlan’s room A153, after school, students will be given a box number and told how many are in the family, so that they know how many cans to place in the box. Because we want to protect the confidentiality of the families, Thanksgiving baskets and free clothing will be distributed Saturday, Nov. 19th in A153 from 9:00am to 12:00 noon. Last year Heights High gave out 90 Thanksgiving boxes.
