PTO Audit Committee
PTO Audit Committee

It’s time to kick off our annual PTO audit process, but we need two more members before we can begin. Have you been on an audit committee at any of your previous schools?    Are you a process oriented person or have an accounting background?  Or are you just a willing volunteer who would like to dig a little deeper into how the PTO keeps financial records?  If any of the above, please email president@heightspto.org.

HISD Connect (Parent Portal/PowerSchool) + Forms/Paperwork
HISD Connect (Parent Portal/PowerSchool) + Forms/Paperwork

From Ms. Hampton:  Please fill out these forms and have your student return them to their first or second period teacher.  It is important that we get this information. Please keep in mind that you can fill out all of this information digitally for your children with HISD Connect.  Most of these forms have to do with mandatory reporting and it helps us report correct information.

  • Socioeconomic Information Form
  • Family Survey
  • Student Assistance Questionnaire
  • Student media consent and release Form
  • Enrollment Information
  • Privacy Code
  • Food Allergy
  • Military-Connected Student Survey

HISD Connect is an online service that allows registered users (i.e., parents and students) to log in to access a variety of student information, see class assignments, etc.. Users can also choose to have an e-mail or text message sent if a child's grades drop below a selected average or is absent or tardy to class.  Information that Parent Portal provides access to includes:

  • Period and Daily Attendance
  • Class Schedules and Assignments
  • Progress Reports
  • Report Cards
  • Parent and Student Resources

Please see this HHS guide to create an account for first time HISD students. If you need assistance setting up a HISD Connect account, please contact the administrative assistant in your grade level office.

Schedule Changes
Schedule Changes

Here is the schedule change form. The forms are due back to the counselors by Wednesday, September 6th. Please do not email counselors with requests, and please note that the counselor will send a pass for the student if a change is made. If it cannot be done, a message will be sent to the student as well. Please keep in mind that for grades 10 – 12, schedule changes will be made if there was an error or the classes are not in line with a student’s IEP or graduation plan. Schedule changes will not be considered for a change in teacher or change in period. Please keep in mind that schedule changes will not happen overnight.
