Happy Thanksgiving from the Heights High School PTO

As we head into the holiday break, the Heights High School PTO sends our warmest wishes to all Bulldog faculty, staff, students, and families. We are grateful for the dedication of our teachers and staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the support of our incredible Bulldog community.

The holiday break is Monday, November 24 - Friday, November 28. The newsletter will take a break during this time, too. Our next newsletter is Tuesday, December 2.

A medida que nos acercamos a las vacaciones de la semana de acción de gracias, el PTO  les envía nuestros más cálidos deseos a toda la comunidad de profesores, empleados, estudiantes y familiares de Heights. Estamos muy agradecidos por la dedicación de nuestros maestros y empleados, el entusiasmo de nuestros estudiantes y el apoyo de esta comunidad maravillosa. 

Las vacaciones comienzan el Lunes 24 y se extienden hasta el 28 del mes. La carta del PTO también hará una pausa durante esta semana. Nuestra próxima comunicación será el Martes 2 de Diciembre. 

This year marks a monumental year for Heights High School. This is our 100th year in the building and we plan to celebrate all year!  Support the class of 2027 and order your exclusive yard sign designed by Heights teacher, Mr. Pruneda. Signs are $20. November 21 is the last day to join the PTO at the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Levels! It’s not too late to join at one of these levels and receive Bulldog swag!

We invite all parents, family, guardians, teachers and students to join the Heights High School Parent Teacher Organization - HHS PTO. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!

HHS PTO works very hard raising money to fund services, programs, and materials that are not covered in the school budget. All of the money raised by the PTO, including membership fees,  stays 100% at our school.

It is *not* mandatory for members to attend meetings or volunteer, but members are very welcome to contribute in a way that works for you! We have general meetings throughout the year. Exact dates and times of our general meetings will always be posted to Facebook and Instagram and in our PTO newsletter.

There are six membership levels for the 2025- 2026 HHS PTO. Please join us today!

Teachers, don't wait to submit your grant requests!  Funds are limited, so try to get your requests in now!  The PTO can award up to $1,200 for a teacher grant each year. The Heights Neighborhood Library at 1302 Heights Blvd offers several programs for teens:

• Teen hour is Monday - Thursday from 2:30-3:30PM.
• They have a Teen Advisory Club this semester, and they are looking to spread the word about Teen Advisory Club for the Spring. This is a way for students to get involved at the library and even create their own program (spring cohorts best for freshman - junior year students).

• HISD students have access to check out library materials and use our online resources using their Learning Link account. The username and passwords for these cards are as follows
