Winter Break begins Monday, December 22.  Students return to school on January 6, 2026.

Las vacaciones de invierno comienzan el lunes 22 de diciembre. Los estudiantes regresan a la escuela el 6 de enero de 2026.

Final exams are THIS week.  As a reminder students will complete 2 finals each day.  There is no early release during finals week.   Students need to be on time to each class period.  Please note what time class begins.  Students who are 30 minutes late are considered absent.  They will need to take the final when we return in January.  We will be on a two-lunch schedule with no off-campus lunch during finals.

Los exámenes finales son esta semana. Les recordamos que los estudiantes realizarán dos exámenes finales cada día. No hay salida anticipada durante la semana de exámenes finales. Los estudiantes deben llegar puntualmente a cada clase. Tengan en cuenta la hora de inicio de las clases. Los estudiantes que lleguen 30 minutos tarde se considerarán ausentes. Deberán presentar el examen final cuando regresemos en enero. Tendremos un horario de dos almuerzos, sin almuerzo fuera del campus durante los exámenes finales.

The auction committee is collecting bottles of wine to be raffled off at the Bulldog Bash Wine Pull. We are accepting bottles worth $25 or more, or cash donations to be used to purchase bottles. Bottles can be dropped at 1311 Harvard St., or donations made via Venmo to Teresa-Montgomery-6.

This year marks a monumental year for Heights High School. This is our 100th year in the building and we plan to celebrate all year!  Support the class of 2027 and order your exclusive yard sign designed by Heights teacher, Mr. Pruneda. Signs are $20. Venmo or Zelle to preorder and include your address and number so we can arrange delivery.

We invite all parents, family, guardians, teachers and students to join the Heights High School Parent Teacher Organization - HHS PTO. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join!

HHS PTO works very hard raising money to fund services, programs, and materials that are not covered in the school budget. All of the money raised by the PTO, including membership fees, stays 100% at our school.

It is *not* mandatory for members to attend meetings or volunteer, but members are very welcome to contribute in a way that works for you! We have general meetings throughout the year. Exact dates and times of our general meetings will always be posted to Facebook and Instagram and in our PTO newsletter.

There are six membership levels for the 2025- 2026 HHS PTO. Please join us today!

Teachers, don't wait to submit your grant requests!  Funds are limited, so try to get your requests in now!  The PTO can award up to $1,200 for a teacher grant each year. The Heights Neighborhood Library at 1302 Heights Blvd offers several programs for teens:

• Teen hour is Monday - Thursday from 2:30-3:30PM.
• They have a Teen Advisory Club this semester, and they are looking to spread the word about Teen Advisory Club for the Spring. This is a way for students to get involved at the library and even create their own program (spring cohorts best for freshman - junior year students).

• HISD students have access to check out library materials and use our online resources using their Learning Link account. The username and passwords for these cards are as follows
