Advocacy Update

HISD Advocacy:  There is another budget workshop on May 1 at 1pm.  Once available, the link for the workshop will be here.  If you missed the last workshop, you can watch the video here.  One thing addressed in the last workshop was the legislature’s proposed increase in the “basic allotment” (per-student amount that the state gives districts).  Superintendent Miles currently plans to pass only 30% of any increase on to PUA schools like Heights.
